We are pleased to present to your attention the scientific and practical periodic publication, the journal "Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedics."

The chief editor is Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences Alexey Vladimirovich Lyachagin. The journal was established in 2012 and has been publishing quarterly issues to this day. The purpose of the journal is to highlight contemporary trends and technologies in the treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, based on experimental, theoretical, and clinical research conducted in both domestic and international scientific-clinical centers.

The journal is indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). In 2015, the journal was included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications approved by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK), in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences must be published.

The journal is available in full-text format on the website. The editorial board and the authors uphold the policy of open access to contemporary relevant medical information and the advancement of new technologies in traumatology and Orthopaedics.
